Mrs Alene Carol King, 78, of Raleigh, NC, peacefully departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at The Oaks at Whitaker Glen, Raleigh, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 - 2:00 p.m. at Strickland Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC.  Rev. Letaz S. Jones Sr., Pastor/Eulogist.

On Saturday, May 28, 2022, our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, slipped away to be with the Lord Jesus.

Mrs. Alene Carol Cole King, formerly of Four Oaks, NC, was born on April 8, 1944 to the late John and Madgaline Williams Cole.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Christy Carol King and brother, Roscoe Cole.

Alene attended Johnston County schools and graduated from Forest Hill High School in Four Oaks, NC.  After high school, she married and had three children.  She was always known for her love for fashion and her big smile. Not a single day went by that she did not dress for glamour, even up until the end.

Alene leaves to cherish her precious memories; a beloved son, Rodney Ellis King, Meadow, NC; daughter, Priscilla Joy McMillan, Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Jaylin Alexander McMillan, Newton Grove, NC, Elysia Gabrielle McMillan, Charlotte, NC, Emma Victoria McMillan, Raleigh, NC; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Alene and the family extend special thanks to the family of Goldsboro Assisted Living for the care and comfort, The Oaks at Whitaker Glen, and The Strickland Grove Missionary Baptist Church Family for all the prayers and words of encouragement that meant so much to all of us over the years.

Please keep the King and Cole Wright families in your prayers as they prepare for the celebration of life service of their dearly beloved Alene.  "Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal".  🙏🌹
