Mr. Arnold Lee Garner

Mr. Arnold Lee Garner, 63, of Dudley, NC, departed this life on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at his home.

Arnold was born on March 17, 1960 to the late Swannie Garner in Lenoir County, Kinston, NC.    He is preceded in death by his mother; uncles and aunts, Jesse Lee, Stanley, Bruce, Billy, Roscoe, Margaret, Marion Lee, Hilda, Clara, and Annie. 

Arnold was reared in Goldsboro, NC and graduated from Eastern Wayne Senior High School, Goldsboro, NC in 1978.  He served his early years in the United States Army.  He loved and worked in transportation as a truck driver for many years.

Arnold knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior before his departure.  He loved grilling, fishing, social entertaining, and being with family and friends.  He was a direct person and spoke his mind; yet, he found it difficult to ever say no, and was always willing to give a helping hand when asked or needed.

Arnold leaves to cherish his precious memories; wife, Betty; step-daughter, LaKeasha and granddaughter Jayla; mother-in-law, Eloise P. Pigford, Goldsboro, NC; sisters-in-law, Marian P. Sutton, Goldsboro, NC, Anna Pigford, Dudley, NC, and Mary P. Yancey (Lorenzo), Goldsboro, NC; brothers-in-law, Curtis Pigford (Emma) and Tyrone Pigford, both of Charleston, SC, Michael Pigford (Jeanie) Goldsboro, NC, Lemont Pigford (Valiska) Jacksonville, FL, and Ronnie Pigford (Paula) of Goldsboro, NC; a very special cousin who was like his sister, Alice Perry Jordan (Larry) of Hamden, CT; a very special cousin who was like his brother, Daniel (Bozo) Perry Jr. (Michelle) of New Haven, CT; other special cousins Diane Perry (Victor) of Goldsboro, NC, Travis Perry of New Haven, CT, and Frances Satterwhite of Clayton, NC; a very special friend, Tony Howell of Goldsboro, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
