Mrs. Janice Grey Pigford Williams

Mrs. Janice Grey Pigford Williams,66, of Dudley, NC, (GHS Class of 1976), departed this earthly tabernacle on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at her residence.

Janice was born on August 8, 1957 to the late Willie James Pigford Sr. and Eloise Price Pigford in Wayne County.    She is preceded in death by her father and siblings, Carolyn Pigford Ellis, Willie James Pigford Jr., and Barbara Ann Pigford.

Janice attended Wayne County Schools and graduated from Goldsboro High School (Class of 1976).  She attended Wayne Community College and later studied at Kaplan University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She spent many years residing in Jersey City, NJ before returning to Goldsboro, NC.  She was a hard worker and worked at numerous places including AP Parts, Goldsboro, NC and 3C Packaging, Clayton, NC.

Janice became a born again believer at Tabernacle of Prayer at a young age and exercised strong faith and quality time with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She enjoyed shopping and spending leisure time with her daughter Jasmine, family, and friends.  She was generous, loving, fun to be around, very determined, energetic, and fashionable.   Her memories will live on in our hearts until eternity.

Janice leaves to cherish her precious memories; daughter, Jasmine Shonte’ Jones, Greensboro, NC; mother, Eloise Pigford, Goldsboro, NC; sisters, Marian P. Sutton, Goldsboro, NC, Anna Pigford, Dudley, NC, Mary P. Yancey (Lorenzo), Goldsboro, NC, and Betty Garner (Arnold), Dudley, NC; brothers, Curtis Pigford (Emma) and Tyrone Pigford, both of Charleston, SC, Michael Pigford (Jeanie) Goldsboro, NC, Lemont Pigford (Valiska) Jacksonville, FL, and Ronnie Pigford (Paula) of Goldsboro, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Please keep her daughter Jasmine and the entire Pigford family in your prayers.  "Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal".
