Ms. Anita Nichelle Best, 48, of Goldsboro, NC, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2023 at Wayne UNC Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC.

Anita was born on December 29, 1974 in Wayne County to Joyce Marie Best and the late Leroy McDonald.  She attended the Wayne county public school system.  She was a member of Darden Chapel.

Anita was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was very funny and people loved to be around her. She had a lovable heart and will be truly missed by us all.

Anita leaves to cherish her precious memories; her mother, Joyce Marie Best; two daughters, LaJasima (Deon) Roberts and LaTosha Nicole Best, both of Goldsboro, NC; one son, Demico Best of New Bern, NC; one sister, Nicole (Quincy) Crawford of Goldsboro, NC; one brother, Jamelle (Monique) Best of Goldsboro, NC; one special aunt, Faye Ward of New Bern, NC; special friend, Michael Cromartie; caregiver and godmother, James & Theresa Faison of Goldsboro, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
