1961 ~  The Tribute of Life  ~  2019

Mr. Joseph Ray Branch, 57, of Warsaw, NC, departed this life on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at his home.


A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 - 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephens United Holy Church, 366 Bennetts Bridge Road, Mt. Olive, NC.  Mr. Branch will lie in state from 12:00 noon until the start of the service.  Pastor Jefferson L. Branch, Grace Tabernacle Outreach Ministries, Philadelphia, PA, will be the Eulogist. 

Joseph was born on August 18, 1961, in Duplin County, to the late Lawrence Jefferson Branch and Mary Emma McGowan Branch.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Delaney Dewayne “Wine” Branch and Delaney’s wife, Bonnie.


Joseph attended Duplin County Schools and was a Class of 1979 graduate of East Duplin High School.  He was a jack-of-all-trades and worked in farming, logging, was a truck driver, and bus driver.  His favorite hobby was woodworking.    He was a member of St. Stephens United Holy Church and served as the Head Usher.


Joseph leaves to cherish his precious memories; sons, Joseph Lee Hall of Beulaville, NC and Justin Earl (Danielle) Hall of Fayetteville, NC; adopted/stepchildren, Gloria Denise Hall of Beulaville, NC, Donald Ray Hall of Pink Hill, NC, and Christopher Ray “Peanut” (Jennifer) Hall of Albertson, NC; 18 grandchildren; brothers, Jefferson Leanell (Georgia) Branch of Philadelphia, PA, Curtis Glenn Branch of Mt. Olive-Scott’s Store Community , NC, Lawrence Dexter Branch of Mt Olive-Scott’s Store Community, Antonio Donnell “Tony” (Tracie) Branch of California; sister, Mary B. (Robert) Hines of Goldsboro, NC; adopted sister, Kathryn Wallace Miller of Mt. Olive-Scott’s Store Community; uncle, O’Neal Branch Sr. of Mt. Olive-Scott’s Store Community; great aunts, Betty M. Best of Kenansville, NC and Swannie B. Branch of Mt Olive-Scott’s Store Community; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
